1. House Rules
Respectful Behaviour
Abusive, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Staff instructions must be followed.
We may remove anyone from the premises at our discretion.
Alcohol & Age Verification
You must be 18+ to purchase or consume alcohol.
Challenge 25 policy applies; valid photo ID may be requested.
Service may be refused if age cannot be verified.
Intoxication
We may refuse service or entry to intoxicated individuals.
Anti-social behaviour due to intoxication may result in removal.
Drugs, Weapons, and Prohibited Items
Illegal substances and weapons are strictly prohibited.
Violation may result in removal and involvement of authorities.
Children & Families
Under-18s allowed only during permitted hours and must be accompanied by an adult.
Entry may be refused during busy or late-night periods.
Dress Code
Appropriate attire is required.
Entry may be refused for offensive or unsuitable clothing.
Music, Events & Dancing
Guests must follow staff guidance during live music or events.
Jumping on furniture or blocking walkways is prohibited.
Outside Food & Drink
Not permitted unless agreed in advance (e.g., birthday cakes).
CCTV
CCTV is in operation for safety and security.
Smoking & Vaping
Only in designated outdoor areas.
Indoor smoking is illegal.
Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome unless restricted for specific events.
Dogs must be on leads at all times.
Damage to Property
Guests are responsible for damage caused intentionally or negligently.
Costs for repair or replacement may be charged.
Lost Property
We are not responsible for lost or unattended items.
Items found will be held for a limited time.
2. Booking Policy
Making a Booking
Bookings can be made online, by phone, or in person.
Accurate contact details must be provided.
Bookings are not confirmed until you receive confirmation.
Deposits
Some bookings, large groups, or events require a deposit.
Deposit amounts will be communicated at booking.
Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the booking type.
Cancellations
At least 12 hours' notice is required for cancellations.
Late cancellations may incur a fee or result in loss of deposit.
No-Show Policy
A no-show penalty applies if you do not attend your booking.
Penalties may include:
Loss of deposit
Charges to the card on file (if applicable)
Restrictions on future bookings
Late Arrivals
We hold bookings for up to 15 minutes unless notified.
After this time, your table may be released and considered a no-show.
Group Bookings
Large groups may need to confirm numbers in advance.
Minimum spend may apply for private areas or peak times.
Special Requests
Requests will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.
Event & Private Hire Bookings
Additional terms may apply. These will be provided at booking.
3. Refund Policy
General Food & Drink Purchases
Refunds are generally not offered once food or drinks have been served.
If an item is incorrect, unsafe, or not prepared as described, please speak to a manager for resolution.
Booking Deposits
Some bookings require a deposit.
Deposits are refundable only if you cancel with at least 12 hours’ notice.
Deposits are non-refundable for:
Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice
No-shows
Events where the deposit is specified as non-refundable
Ticketed Events
Refunds depend on the event organiser’s terms.
If The Finsbury Pub cancels an event, full refunds will be issued.
No refunds for late arrivals, no-shows, or partially used tickets.
Private Hire Payments
Deposits are refundable only as agreed at booking.
Payments will be refunded in full if The Finsbury Pub cancels due to operational or safety reasons.
Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Processing time may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
